I was wondering if someone can help me with a question i've got about my PS3. About three weeks ago a message came up about software update being required. This was just after the publicity about the hacking etc. Now I've got no idea what I should do and I can't even reboot the thing, after start up the same message appears. Can any SAfooty posters offer me some much needed advice?

software updates are very common... the ps3 udates are very regular...

Thank you for your reply. I realise the update is necessary, im just not to sure how to activate it Dumb question I know but what button on the remote do I choose to start the update going

it should ask if you want to update now (or something similar) and you select yes with X button.
