Aerial/Antenna

Im getting rid of foxtel tomorrow as i move into my new place in 2 weeks.

curious as to what u guys would reccomend as far as aerials go for my tv, i dont have a in wall plug for an antenna.
so i need one with bunny ears etc, but i need a strong signal one for all the extra HD channels etc.

ive looked at dick smiths but dunno which ones are good n which are shotty ones etc.

You don't need an extra strong signal for digital channels. That's the beauty of digital, you get the same quality having 100%, 50% or 25%. You just need a signal.

I use cheap rabbits ears on mine and works a treat. Try a set and see how you go?

Remember to re-scan all your channels when you do.

ive got a real bad signal in my room, and coz i have a HD tv without a built in tuner the quality is avg.

i went to K mart and got one for about $50 bucks and my digital TV is working a treat, on the other hand the bedroom right next to mine got one also from Kmart but a cheaper one think it was about $7 and that does work but its no were near as reliable as the one i have in my room.

assuming it's a rental and if your gonna be there a while asked the landlord to install an outside aerial and wall plate, maybe offer to pay a portion of the cost, it might be a small price to pay compared to the inconvenience of lost reception halfway thru live sport

only need it for 2 weeks really... moving out into new place april first.
so getting foxtel disconected tomorrow, thats why i need an aerial, didnt haver to use one with fox.

Johno, Maybe if you knew someone who worked at Hills they could set you up with an antenna, cheap........................ :shock: :shock:

nah i only need one for one more week till i move.
so just wanted a cheap one, got one for $40 and it seems to be doing the job.
