I need a hand here.
Updating some excel files this morning & emailing out team sheets to coaches.
Trouble is that even though the files are saving in my computer the files sent out are not updated.
I'm sending out the files with a hotmail account, is this the problem?

Sheik

Have you received these spreadsheets via hotmail (the same ones you are then updating and then resending?)

If you open up a spreadsheet from inside an email, it will save it to your "temp" files (ie, not the original one in the original location). When you try and send it out, you'll be sending the ones that haven't been updated.

If I'm barking up the wrong tree, let me know.

Thanks Gad,
I'm pretty sure I'm sending them straight from my files.
Does that sound right?

Not really. Once you save the document check the date and time sent in the properties.

When you attach the file make sure you are attaching the correct file by checking your time and date.

Alternately save your file as version 2 or version 3 etc. Then you will know which one you are attaching. If you can't find the file you know you have the wrong one.

Nice try gadj, but helping the Sheik will be like trying to train a walrus to play the piano.

F*ck you cyclone boy.
Gadj did help by getting me to backtrack, the files were copied & updated from 2010, I re saved them into a new file, so there. Get back to fighting those picachu demons on playstation.
Thank you Gadj, see SG that's what you call helping.
