IE Favourites menu

Hi guru's.

Every now and then my parts of my favourites menu will appear with a pin like figure in the top right of the bar and not let me expand that particular favourites folder.
For instance, in the picture attached you will see a pin like figure, top right corner of the football folder.
If I want to access any sites in that folder I need to exit out of that tab and starta new one.

Does anyone know how to stop this and why it comes up ?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I can't help - I went Netscape, Opera, Firefox, Opera, Firefox, Opera - with a brief trial of Chrome, and some use of Konqueror on Linux.

Yeah sorry Smithy, the only time I use IE is when I reinstall windows on a pc, I use it to go to the Mozilla website to download Firefox and that's the last time I use it for a while!
