While I'm at it. I'd like to open up a new email account - free.

I've used hotmail and yahoo in the past.

What free email services do other users prefer?
Are either of these the best of the bunch for privacy/security/space allowances etc?

Yup, I'm busy tonight. Flat out.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

For friends and family etc I use an addy I got with my ISP and have that in Outlook Express. For online gaming sites and things like my survey sites I use a Yahoo one in Yahoo!Mail.

No idea about what the limits are on space etc but I'm a bugger for not deleting stuff and must have about 3000+ on both in various folders and I've never had any sort of message to say I'm pushing the limits.

Regards
JAS

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Google for example provide an excellent free service with loads of allowance ... the sting is that they troll through your information to target ads.

As JAS suggests, an email address with your ISP is usually good because you've paid for it anyway and they tend not to have the privacy issues of the free ones.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

I've got pretty much all of them.

Always found gmail the best. Quickest one to signup to too, yahoo wants everything just about including your blood group.

I mainly use ISP accounts - one personal, one medical, one for my IT company.
However I keep a yahoo.com.au one for registering free software etc, which has a false name and address attached to it.
I also keep a ymail.com one as a place to forward all emails to whenever overseas, as it is easy to access from anywhere.
[There is also a university alumni address which presently forwards to my personal ISP address - having an .edu.au address is handy sometimes.]
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
