I noticed my brother has done it and I forgot to ask him how - he's overseas now, so I can't ask him, so I'll ask you lot.

Can it be hooked up to an old CRT or can it only be done on a digital telly??

All depends on what outputs ur comp has and what inputs ur Tv has. HDMI is by far the best way. aassuming u have those connections. Cables arent cheap though, but for u FC head to my ol JBs and drop my name ul get a better price ;)

If its an old CRT, your PC will need a co-ax out or the yellow rca plug, getting the sound out should be too hard, just find the right cords/plugs

In stores they're not cheap, but I managed to score a brand new 3 metre HDMI cable for $7 on E-Bay and it works a charm (if only the copy protection didn't kick in whenever I play a Blu-Ray  )

In the research I've done in trying to solve the problem I keep reading this doesn't work properly. But have never tried.

I've messed around with an old PC to run on my CRT with outputs from an old NVidia card through to a composite Scart adaptor and it works really well. I recently bought a cable to connect it to component (for hi-def) and although the clarity is great it has an annoying purple tinge which is a common fault of the card I have apparently.

I've saving my pennies to get a HDMI set up though - many PCs now have that as an option. No messing about.

Here's a handy site anyway: http://www.techlore.com/article/10061/H ... o-Your-TV/

And if I had the bucks and didn't have a complete aversion to Dell, I'd go for something sexy like this: http://gizmodo.com/5403000/dell-zino-hd ... theater-pc
