I've just been hooked up online at home, and am ready to start downloading music and movies. I'm a bit wary of some because I heard it's easy to get virus' from them. Does anyone know of any good hassle free torrent sites?

DB, I thought the idea of torrent sites was that you didn't get viruses - maybe I'm delusional!? Places like Bearshare and Limewire are bad for viruses, but Torrents aren't as far as I was concerned.

i certainly dont condone illegally downloading files from the net but heard www.piratebay.org is a great source thats easy to use

Piratebay is excellent. Torrentz.com is a very good torrent search site as well...

kickasstorrents.com is always good.

I like "The Box" http://thebox.bz/login.php it is a private invitation only site for pretty much everything that is on or ever has been UK television. If you like British comedy and British series etc. it is the place to be. For instance you can get the first ever series of "Steptoe and Son" from 1962. There is also plenty of sport, FA cup games from way back etc.
