Indoor Digital TV Antenna...

I finally got my 32" and 37" AWA LCD TVs last week only to discover that my trusty Digitor indoor antenna from Dick Smith is absolutely hopeless at picking up the digital signal.

Went back to Big W and had a look at what they had there regarding antennas and I ended up buying the $35 Crest LS2000 indoor TV antenna (w/ high gain amplifier) and that works really well providing you position the antenna higher than the TV (e.g. on a shelf) and away from any powered items.

Currently got a couple of 1080p DVD players and another LCD (22") on layby.

A friend of mine said his teenage son once mounted an outdoor antenna on the outside wall - inside his bedroom....
Apparently it worked, but it may depend on location.

all to do with dollars...

the tuner in the tv is important, and you'll be better off with panasonic, lg, samsung, sony, rather than awa, which is no better than audiosonic or soniq- but they cost significantly more.

same with the aerial...

digitor and crest aren't great...
