I think mine is about 3 years old, maybe more.
Wireless signal seems to be weakening but the modem functionality is as good as ever.

Mine's on 24/7 but my last change was to separate my modem from my router so if something falls apart I only have to replace one part.
Not sure how it will turn out in the long run but my tech head genius mate assures me its the way to go, will keep people posted if I have issues or not.

My Billion 5100A ADSL modem/router bought for about $90- in early 2004 still works, and I now have a Billion7401V(G)P ADSL2+ bought in early 2009 from Internode.
There was some question of whether the new one was faulty, but with some reconfiguration to adjust for the dodgy local lines it seems to be OK.
It had kept falling over trying to negotiate higher speeds but set to not look for higher than 8Mbps it works.
I get 6.3Mbps at best because of the lines and the distance from the exchange.
