Yes, got mine this morning after 'ordering it online'. Pretty true to the old ones, with lots of new tricks to jazz it up.

You can't beat a 2D platform game for a family game!

I wish I could understand the popularity of anything Mario related. It's not as if I haven't tried - I even grabbed Super Mario 3 (supposedly the best game nintendo has ever produced) from the wii shop recently in an attempt to be won over by the little plumber. It's horrible. For a side scrolling platformer any of the Wonder Boy games are a lot more fun to play IMO.

So I'm genuinely curious, please tell me what's so good about Mario?

I suppose different gameplays suit different people but I've always loved Mario games with the exception of the n64 version. Great gameplays and humerous story that don't take themselves seriously. Always great to see the slightly different variants they come up with too. My son absolutely adores Mario games and still treasures the "shy guy" I bought for him in hong kong.

Agreed. 2D games are just as awesome as some of their more modern counterparts.

I had to give myself a sleep in this morning, played it until about 2am. Great game.

Also have the new cricket game, that's pretty good as well, test match tournament this weekend!

Outstanding! Gameplay was a lot of fun, smac jr gave it two thumbs up. I gave it one, but that's because he beat me!

Pretty good IMO - only possible downer is if you just want to blob on the couch and play joystick style... well, you can't really, you have to get up and swing your arms around like a mad thing. Which is the point of the wii I guess. But I'd like to have both options

LMAO. Not looking forward to my kids beating me at games and sports.
