Where to buy a new Nintendo Wii?

Postby Wedgie » Tue Oct 13, 2009 1:34 pm

Old one shit it itself so in the market for a new one, dont need extra controllers (but wont complain as could use up to 4, have 2 currently), definately don't need Wii sports Wii fit, Wii Active or anyting like that.
I dont mind paying around the $400 mark if it comes with some good games I don't have.
Best deals Ive currently seen are EB Games and Game.
(Looked at JB, HNs, Target, DS, BigW, Kmart)
Anyone else seen a good deal around?

Wegs, I saw a site last night which lists bargains from all around the country. www.bargainsniper.com.au. You might want to keep an eye out for a Wii appearing on there.

I also use sites like www.staticice.com.au for "IT" related products.

Our current Wii requires $250 repairs hence why I'm buying a new one.
Cheaper yes, just. Practical or smart? no.

I think the little man inside it passed away.

I hardly play it (the kids and missus love it) but I'd imagine that like other machines different parts cost different amounts to repair and some just aren't worth fixing. ir cars, DVD players, computers, women, etc.

Found the basic unit for $349. Found a few deals for $400 with 2 or 3 games but have most of them, best deal I've found so far is target. Found a pre modded version for $450 but that nulls the warranty and they only replace it with a 3 month warranty.
Target pack had Drawn to Life and Super Mario Party 8 which is 2 games we don't have so leaning towards that at this stage unless anyone can see something beter.
