Shockwave/Flashplayer problems

I've had enough of this problem, basically anytime I try to watch youtube videos, and most of the time when there is flash content on the page, the browser crashes. I've got IE 6.0; Firefox 3.0.4; and Google Chrome and they all do the same thing and either crash altogether, say that shockwave has encountered a problem and closes those down only. Occasionally the computer reboots itself. Whether or not it's related, other programs I have crash as well at times - Windows Media Player 11.0; Picasa 3; Nero Wave Editor 3.5.4.0 and Microsoft Word.

Any help would be most appreciated, cause as you would expect, it gives me the shits. ;)

Sorry spelly don't have an answer for you but have a word with FC...I think she's been having similar problems for months and months now. If nothing else she might be able to save you time by telling you what's not causing it :?

Regards
JAS

Usual "I'm no expert but..." disclaimer applies. I'd try a complete uninstall/reinstall as per the following link

Good luck

No, didn't work unfortunately. I can download youtube videos and then watch them that way (thanks to everyone in that thread), but doing that would slow down the connection quickly - after the download limit expires on the plan, it slows.

My problem is completely different, I just cant watch anything with flash (which means I can't play texas hold 'em  ) it tells me to install flash, even though I already have it.

Unless you have done this already FC, you need to completely uninstall the flash player and install it again. There is a file that gets rid of it http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon ... d=tn_14157. I'll bet you already have done that however. ;)

Neither. :?

Do you use Adblock or Flashblock add ons with Firefox? If so try disabling them.

Anyone solve these problems? My Flash Player has died and I've done the uninstall/reinstall thing and yet I just cant get Flash Player on. Done reboot afterwards and all. Seriously peeved off that this isn't working.

Suggestions anyone?

I was having flash problems but they seem to have cleared up since I upgraded to Firefox 3.09 and Opera 9.64 as browsers.
Sites kept telling me I didn't have Flash Player installed when I did.
