ok, so there is me and my mate sittin on our laptops at home, we want to play poker online together in any of the tournys and have a side wager on who lasts the longest, so i register and get in whilst he tries to register and cannot get in due to having the same IP address, anyway we can change this?

Be very careful dealing with these companies... i have heard a story first hand where two dudes got banned from all online poker sites and lost their bank (one had 6k, one 3k) when they were audited and found to be allegedly not playing totally honest....

these organisations are big time and are not silly they run programmes that check stuff (including IP addresses) to catch people who may be trying to rort the system.. - of course not saying that what you're doing... just made me think of this lc

It depends on the site.
Some sites will allow you to play, as long as it's a MTT. This means if there are 2 tables or more, you can play. Full Tilt is like this.
Other sites don't allow you to play at all, from the same IP address. To them, it's one person on two computers (regardless of how honest you're being).
Best way is to get hold of wireless broadband or something, and have two totally separate connections.

yep wouldnt even try it even if they allowed it, Ive heard many stories of nightmare proportions regarding people setting up their partners with gambling accounts and trying to get the bonuses they offer....simply dont do it, the advantages are massively outweighed if caught
