XP security update

Postby smithy » Tue May 20, 2008 12:22 am

I am wanting to format my computer but don't want to have to download gigabytes of security updates already on my system once again.
Can anyone suggest a way of backing up your security updates so I can install them after I format?

Thanks

You could check whether any of the PC mags released a disk of SP3 as they did SP2. I've just used SP2 and let it download the rest here as I never use my full monthly limit.

or just download the full SP3 before doing your format....is only about 300mb....burn to a cd and reinstall once you've reinstalled windows!!
