Anyone heard of this little freeware physics program called Phun?
http://phun.cs.umu.se/wikiWatch the little movie - it's so cool. I'm going to use this with my students this term - we're designing / making pinball machines in Technology and will be able to test ideas with this!

That's great...geez science lessons have changed from when I went to school no computers and spent ages trying to float pins and razor blades in a beaker of water haha.

I remember the electro-magnetic cannon experiment I conducted unofficially in secondary school, using a coil to propel a steel ruler while the teacher was briefly out of the room. Unfortunately, the observant cuss noticed the divot out of the wall, and I had to 'fess up for the sake of my classmates, who were otherwise all going to be kept in as well. I did detention making Mercury barometers for another practical lesson coming up.
