Some wholesalers like Altech in Melbourne still have a few new ones in stock and a local computer shop in SA may be able to trace one through a wholesaler there - looking at wholesale prices they should retail from $60 to $70 plus any delivery costs.
If no one local can help, I may be able to trace a working second hand one, but with postage and insurance from here it may not be much cheaper. PM me if you are having no luck in SA and want me to see what is around.

I suspect your problem is the margin they would make on them at the price I quoted is about $12 so it is not worth their time to ring around to hunt one up for you, and pay an $8 courier fee unless it was coming with another order. To get it in specially they'd have to jack the price up again to cover that.
I just happened to be checking Altech's dealer site for LCD monitors and suchlike just after I read your post so I looked for you while I was there anyway.

There's great value at the store on Morphett St, might be the cnr with Flinders.
Its a three letter acronym but Ive forgotten them.
Terrible service but value second to none.

They seem to be only offering PCI-E - a different beast from PCI - not interchangeable.
