anyone help with a CD/DVD Disk drive on a laptop that wont recognise the disk? it makes all the right sounds but nothing which is very annoying...

thats what Im thinking, I reckon its rooted....might get an external for the moment to load some software I need.....might buy a brand new lappy, this one only cost $600- after packaging and has done 2+ good years

HA...only just noticed that!....havent been myself today

had the same problem dutchy. went to the microsoft website and put it into "search" and it spits out a forum which discusses how to correct it - just delete a couple of obscure files... worked a treat...
