Hi All,

Looking at getting a laptop as a desktop replacement. Wont be getting lugged around anywhere will just stay at home and run of my wireless connection. Need some advice on what type to look at. Im thinkng of going will Dell. I no you always get the dell bashers and things like that but can anyone give me advice on what laptop might be good for me.
Mostly used for downloading music , web surfing, word processing work
Any advice?

I just bought an ASUS F3SV AK136G. Good display, good video card, limiting factor the 200GB HDD is only 4200rpm. I'm setting it up to suit me at the moment. it seems to run pretty well.

I don't have one (I have a Compaq) but I can say that ASUS Lappies are fantastic.
A couple of my mates are real tech heads and wouldn't get anything else.
Just dont get ASUS mixed up with Acer!
