If you want to buy Blu Rays from overseas then yes. You want be able to play region b blu rays bought in Oz though.

SONY has begun bringing its internet services back online weeks after a hacking debacle that saw millions of users' personal details stolen.

The company announced a raft of pumped up security measures as it allows customers to resume everything from playing online games to downloading music.

The move may be too late for some however, with anecdotal reports of customers dumping their PS3s in favour of Xbox 360s and the Xbox Live online community.

The Japanese consumer electronics giant has been humiliated by the technology meltdown, with senior executives literally bowing in apology to customers worldwide.

Sony shut down its PlayStation Network (PSN) and Qriocity music-based service on April 21, after a cyber attack on its San Diego data centre.

According to some reports, technicians had reported to Sony that their systems needed beefed up security a couple of months earlier. Old Apache servers running no firewall.

PSN back up just in time for LA Noire.

Just looked into it then, looks awesome.

Was going to buy Red Dead Redemption tonight, but I might get L. A. Noire instead.

The cinematics look great. Hopefully the gameplay is good though or I'll be disappointed.
$60 at ozgameshop.com is the cheapest I've found.

red dead was awesome.... rockstar games do quality!!! i reclon ill purchase LA Noire too...

Red Dead was fantastic. If you like a good western you will love it. Having said that get LA Noire on release, so you can play it without accidently reading a spoiler somewhere.

I use www.ozgameshop.com
PS3 games are region free, so they'll work no matter which country they're brought from.
