in the eb games or game magazine it was Wii only from memory

on the Big Ant site, says the Wii version will be the first released, but a ps3 version to follow, and not too sure about 360.

On the Big Ant site that I just checked, it had no mention of the Wii.

I reckon it'll be a very disappointing game. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

I hear there is a glitch by Big Ant's AFL 2011 crossing over with Madden 2011 by EA Sports.

Brendan Fevola is listed on the team line up sheet as a punter.
Apparently every time Fevola gets the ball, he just punts it away, you lose the ball, then he goes and pi$$es against a wall.

I sifted through the seemingly endless waffle about the game on Bigfooty earlier today.

From what I can understand there will be no career option - only a single season.
They said it was simply not viable for them and they wouldn't have been able to do a decent job of it before the release date.
However, there will be one on the Wii - developed by Wicked Witch - with VFL, TAC Cup, U18 champs, but they can afford to with less time going into gameplay, graphics etc.

They've described the player creation mode as better than FIFA, which I doubt is true, but the fact it's being talked up so much must mean it's half decent.

It all sounds like it will be released in late March, with the Wii version to come out first and perhaps the ps3 and Xbox a week or two later.

All in all I'm glad they've gone for gameplay and graphics over a career mode (which is likely to be implemented in future games) as a season should still be great fun - particularly with good gameplay.

i'm not guna get exited about it till it's out. as i've said on here before, this time last year the release date was march 2010. now they're saying march 2011?

also, i've sent at least 6 emails to Big Ant about it, with no reply to any of them.

and when i called them to ask them directly, they had no idea when it would be out or anything about it, and said i'd have to call the developers.

All of the stuff I wrote above was from someone from Big Ant who posts on the site, so hopefully it's accurate.

CEO of Big Ant Studios Ross Symons had posted this on the Bigfooty forum so I thought I'd share the love.

Oh yeah, btw, Ross did mention not to read into the whole Easter release date as noting is set in stone yet.
It all depends on how HES would like to market it and they decide the date.

I'm looking forward to guiding Porpoise onto the loose ball and calmly snapping it around the corner from 35 out.
Then I'll get a stiffy.

And then he'll get injured and you'll be without him for the rest of the season

I'm looking forward to actually being able to play Brendan Fevola and Albert Proud in round one!

Word is they've run out of money to pay the commentators in the game.
So they've recruited ol Smooth Larry from Aussie Rules on the NES to cover it.
