Played Goldeneye on the wii last night, until 2am. I suppose that means I like it!

Awesome game, challenging enough too.

That's relative - the original was groundbreaking, the new one isn't. But it is very good, in terms of gameplay, difficulty, graphics and storyline. Lots of differences to the storyline from the original (and the movie), and perhaps a little too much use of the smartphone (which is a little clunky in operations for my liking) but overall a very addictive game.

Smac jr and I are probably going to spend the weekend on multiplayer which I am sure will be better than the original, if only for the fact we didn't own a 50" TV in 1997!

Have been able to get hold of a WII for a few weeks to see if i want to fork out the $ to buy one, after 1 hour playing the sports games I think ive decided that i will....despite the fact that i think ive found i have muscles in my upper arms that i didnt know existed after playing baseball!

Any recommendations for games that are available at the moment to have a crack at, im into sports and racing games.
Was thinking of heading down to video ezy and renting a few before i make my final decision.
Trust the process.

Sports games you will find something useful, racing games aren't the forte of the Wii. Post here if you find a good one, I'm yet to do so.

Grand Slam Tennis - not a recent release but I reckon they (EA Sports I think) did a pretty good job with this one. I still play it quite a bit.

The Bigs (baseball). Another pretty good one. The Bigs 2 is out now which I haven't played yet but has a season mode which the first one didn't have.

FIFA - probably not as good as other platforms but still a great game if you like soccer.

Definitely NBA Jam been playing it this week is pretty good on the Wii.

Also if you don't have a PS3 or XBOX then COD: Black Ops. Is a great game but the graphics on the Wii are no-where near those on the other platforms.
Also NBA 2K11 is a great basketball game - have heard it called the greatest sports game made so far.

It's very true to the original, smac jr and his mates had a tournament on the weekend and I've heard nothing but 'boom shakalaka' and 'he's heating up' ever since!

Anyone got the new Donkey Kong Country game on Wii? I loved those games back in the day on the SNES...not sure if I'd want to play one again but they were groundbreaking at the time.

Similar to other recreations on Wii, it is very similar to the original with a few tweaks possible with the new controllers.

Some good 'reminiscent' fun, how much you enjoy that will determine if you part with any cash (or download allowance) for it.
