They'll fix this problem for you, but my worry would be what happens in the future if something happens to the system. They appear to have been less than helpful so far when it's been brand new, so what will they be like when it's 6 months old?
This could yet take some time and hassle to sort out, so personally I would settle for getting something that works as you requested as quickly and easily as possible while checking out what the future might hold in terms of their warranty policy should you get an actual hardware failure. The other thing is you don't want to be remembered as a problem customer (no matter whether you're justified in your position or not) as they will be less likely to do anything more than bare minimum service in future.

I know its a matter of principle but I really cant be assed to tell you the truth.
