OK I have some time, so I will again look at upgrading my gaming machine.

Does anyone have good or bad opinions on MSY Technology Pty Ltd?
They seem to have very good prices.
What is my best option AMDx6 Hexa Core 1100T 3.30Ghz or Intel Core i5-2500K3.30Ghz 1155pin?
Is the Intel Core i7-960 3.20Ghz 1366 pin worth the extra $150?

Re: MSY

Great prices, crap service.

If you know what you are doing and exactly what you need, then they are great!

They're getting better ... just ordered some gear online for a relative, they responded quickly and I picked the stuff up a couple of hours later.

Agree that you need to know what you want though, because they'll have no idea how to help you.

Further update after speaking to our PC "sperts" at work they recommend the AMD as "More bang for my buck".
As I have been around for a while, I was always sus of the imitation, but with time all things change.
The PC "guys" say all the Servers we are buying now are AMD, any views?

AMD are not an imitation ... both Intel and AMD play quite comfortably in both the consumer and commercial world.

Commercial grade servers with AMD CPUs are common place these days.

Go for whatever is cheaper with similar specs ... generally but not always that is AMD, the Intel i series CPU are very good.

Thanks for that, so if I buy the AMD and I currently have a Wireless router attached to the phone line and the other PC and as you say I need to tell MSY exactly what I want.
What do I need in the new PC to attach to the internet?
Is a wireless modem ok? Is it better to connect via a cable (the two machines will be two rooms apart)?

An ethernet wired connection is always preferable to a wireless connection.

There are situations where this is not possible ... thick walls, limited access to run cables, etc, so wireless will still work for internet access through your modem/router.

If you want to move a large amount of data between devices then wireless is not a good solution.

I have ethernet running through my house in a star configuration to a central point where my wireless modem/router is located. Portable devices such as a laptop, mobile phones, iPods, etc use wireless, but a PC, media player, PVR, etc utitlise ethernet.
