I would have to say that I highly recommend Blitz the League 2 on PS3.
It is an old game (from 2008) but is highly entertaining.

Puts a nice spin on the game of NFL.

so...........

i called Big Ant Studios today, to ask them about the AFL game, and when we should be expecting it to hit the shelves, they told me they have not idea, and to call the publishers of the game, and gave me their number.

so i called them, and was extremely disapointed to hear that it's a distinct possibility that the game may not be released until xmas. i was sure i read on the big ant site that it was due for release in march 2010.

i asked him what sort of features we could expect on the game, but he said all that info is still confidential.

rats.........

so we may not even get the game before this season is over.

*sigh*

What do you think of it? The graphics are awesome but I wish that little girl would stop making 'uhh! ohh! ahh!' noises every time she gets excited - she's a paedo's dream!

The gameplay is very different from previous Final Fantasies - much more linear. Not a good move in my opinion. I imagine it branches out later on though.

Bwahaha! Yeah, she gets annoying. The young lad is just as bad if not worse.
At least the young girl has an Aussie accent!

Apparently it doesn't branch out much at all, which is a real shame.
I'm not too far into it yet, but the graphics have been unreal, but apart from the storyline, the gameplay has been average.

Speaking to a mate who has just passed around 30 hours of gameplay and he reckons it does branch out a lot more afterwards.
I'm not too far off that now!

Got Heavy Rain yesterday. Its a really different game thats for sure.

You pretty much do everything with the joysticks...you have to brush his teeth by shaking the control up and down. Theres all different kinds of controls throughout the game for different things. At one stage i had to climb a muddy hill in torrential rain. To do this i had to hold certain buttons that were shown on the screen, until they disappeared...one mistake and you slide back down the hill. For example you hold O, then hold O and Triangle, then hold O, Triangle and R1, then Triangle, R1 and L1...co-ordinating it took me a couple of goes.

The whole game pretty much plays out like a movie, switching between 4 characters, and every single little dicision you make effects the game.

As I said, its really really different from any game ive played before. I recommend people go out and get it. A word of warning, it does start out slow, and the story progression isnt overly fast (because you have to do EVERYTHING)...but i played it for about 4 hours yesterday over 2 sittings and cant wait to get out of work and head home to get cracking finding the Origami Killer.

PS I got to shoot a crack head :D good times

I played the Euro 2008 game and it was superb, the best FIFA game I'd played for a while until FIFA 10.

It should be awesome taking control of Australia and guiding them through Asia. Plus they have 'Scenarios' from previous World Cup/Qualifying.. and while the World Cup is on you will be able to download new ones from South Africa.
