PS3 Remote issues

Postby Lunchcutter » Wed Dec 02, 2009 7:32 pm

not too sure if this is the right place for this topic so mods feel free to move....
i have a ps3 and am not too sure how the remote thingy works... my late dh would always unplug the usb charger cable to use the remote and it would forever be flat on the coffee table which would p me off no end because when I went to watch a dvd ti would have to wait until the stupid remote charged a little again (I assumed this was because it was left unplugged for an extended period) ... now i leave the remote plugged in at all times... my main question is - how come even after its been plugged in and not used a lot in a number of days does it take ages for the remote to power up again (all those stupid lights just flash, then I can use the remote 15 mins later)... I do turn the system off when I'm not using it, but would this mean that the controller is not charging because the system is off? im perplexed and was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice. thanks for any responses.

cant help you with that one but you can buy PS3 remotes that look like TV/DVD remotes, we have one and they are great and easier to use and run on batteries
30 to 40 dollars from memory

Try one of those BluRay starter kits from JB HiFi. Remote plus a couple of movies.

the control wont charge if the PS3's not on. You can tell its charging because all the red lights flash.

What i do to keep the battery charged is turn the control off while im watching a movie...and only turn it on when i want to pause or rewind or something.

Dont know if you know so ill let you know how to do it.

Hold the clear PS button down until the screen comes up with the options to turn the system off, control off and quit playback...just click on turn of controller. the movie will still play...just keeps the battery fresh..

and when the controls flat its prob a good idea to charge it for a little while...make sure the PS3 is on...

Should be able to banger- I charge everything on a USB from the PC, from Wii remotes, to the mobile phone to the ipod. All good.
