Need desperate help with Codec

Postby Mic » Mon Dec 03, 2007 11:31 am

An AVI file that I have produced on one computer will not play properly on another computer I need to use it on (the colour goes weird). Apparently this is a Codec problem my computer either does or doesn’t have. Does anybody know what the hell I can do to make the video play properly?

Thanks

Which media player are you using?

Most of them have a help or update function of some kind, make sure you have the latest version as they usually tuck a few new codecs in each update from what I understand.

If that doesn't work, google the specific error message and it should direct you to the codecs you need.

Having said that, once I installed the DivX codecs I haven't had a codec issue (go here: http://www.divx.com/).
