Customised GPS maps

I thought I would start a new topic as this is sufficiently different to the previous GPS satnav question.

Work is sending me to New Zealand later this year for the purpose of reviewing store locations for a business we have just purchased. I have worked out where I need to go and created a map of my trip in Google maps.

What I was wondering is if there is a way to download my google map and upload it to a satnav system in a hire car? Am open to recreating the trip in another program to enable me to do this - far easier to be prepared than having to program a satnav with 16 different addresses manually once I arrive - I will only have 4 days to cover the North Island.

I have no idea what I will get - hire car in NZ. Might have to give them a call.
