Yes Wedgie the main reason I left telstra was them counting uploads, couldnt be happier with Internode, although hit my 40 gig limit last month, but could buy another gig for $5 to get me thru to the next month without being shaped, easy as and great service.

Tel$tra will gladly accept the slap on the wrist. The only solution to this issue is to split Tel$tra into two seperate, independent companies ... wholesale and retail.

I just wish the Federal Government had the Kahunas to do it.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

I agree with you there dedja, and I'm a Telstra shareholder..
I kept urging it to various ministers in the Howard government too.
In fact I argued for it when Paul Keating first mooted the idea of floating Telstra shares on the market.

Is Kahunas from another language or an approximation of the pronunciation of cojones?

From Wikipedia--

"Kahuna is a Hawaiian word, defined in the Pukui & Elbert (1986) as a "Priest, sorcerer, magician, wizard, minister, expert in any profession." (See also Ancient Hawaii)

Forty different types of kahuna are listed in the book, Tales from the Night Rainbow. Kamakau lists more than 20 in the healing professions alone, including for example Kahuna la'au lapa'au, an expert in herbal medicine and kahuna haha, an expert in diagnosing illnesses.

With the revival of the Hawaiian culture beginning in the 1970s, some native Hawaiian cultural practitioners call themselves kahuna today. Others, particularly devout Christians, disdain the term. The word has been given an esoteric or secret meaning by modern followers of Max Freedom Long and Huna to emphasise a priestly or shamanic standing.

The use of the term in reference to surfing can be traced back to the 1959 film Gidget, in which "The Big Kahuna", played by Cliff Robertson, was the leader of a group of surfers. The term then became commonplace in Beach Party films of the 1960s such as Beach Blanket Bingo, where the "Big Kahuna" was the best surfer on the beach. Eventually, it was adopted into general surfing culture. Hawaiian surfing master Duke Kahanamoku may have been referred to as the "Big Kahuna" but rejected the term as he knew the original meaning of the word"

I use the nickname as it is a corruption of my surname,no claims to being the best surfer on the beach but will put my hand up as the biggest!
