Yeah, paying an extra 2 cents every 3 months is going to have a big influence on which TV I'd buy!

Check the refresh rate........try and get minimum 100Hz........

I know all about. it... :D

Plasma's generally claim to have a 550 or 600hz technology (sub-field).

It equates to about 120hz, so better than your average 50-100hz LCD, and I'm not too keen on the pricing of a 200hz Sony

I've already mentioned the 50" Panasonic Plasma I bought earlier in the year, for the main system.
I was looking for a smaller set to replace the old CRT in the kitchen/meals area, and picked up a 32" Sony Bravia [ Full HD 100Hz LCD] for $897 at Myers yesterday.
There was a Samsung LED for about the same price, but it was not Full HD, and my checking suggested the Sony had a lower "return rate".
[None of the Plasmas was small enough for the space.]
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

I think the basic theory is if you are under 40 inches you go LCD (100mHz+), over 40 inch you go Plasma.

smallest plasma available... 42"

if you see something disputing that online, believe me, it's a misprint.
