Make it the real Australian Open
No separate men and women comp
All in the same comp - 5 sets

I'll put up a million of my own to any woman that made any of the final rounds

Serena Williams might have a crack but would be in hospital by the 4th set

what a stupid sexist idea.

also, prizemoney has nothing to do with the amount of physical exertion from sportspeople, but their value to the sponsors etc. Now the womens final would be pretty close in terms of ratings and crowds, so that is why they get the same prizemoney.

Ha, call me sexist. I heard one player use the defence that the women have more "pulling power" than the men.
Still, $hit tennis these days. It hasn't always been like that.
Play 5 sets and give the punters some value for their money.
Plus, see who's the best then

its got nothing to do with quality of the tennis, or the length of the matches, but the sponsorship impact.

in a professional sport, it should most definitely be linked to the amount of money they pull in, and its not that different.

if it was linked to the amount of physical exertion, then any marathon runner would get paid 420 times more than usain bolt, i mean thats how much further they run, it makes sense right?

So all players in a footy team should receive the same pay?

Bloody good effort, in the end the kid kept his nerve and Gulbis cracked.

Great win today in 4 by Kyrgios over Karlovic who is no slouch. Has a very winnable contest next round, win that and he could play against Fed in the last 16
