I really like the way Tomic has gone about his business this year.

I think it's ignorant to label him a knob etc, as his comments and tennis the past few months have been really mature.

Love the way he fired back at Federer in today's paper.

Love the fact he likes playing in Australia in front of Australian crowds. Typical tall poppy syndrome has taken over but come the first round, I'm sure there will be plenty interested in the progress of this 20-year-old prodigy.

It's not tall poppy syndrome, anyone who has taken even a remote interest in tennis over the last 24 months, and I mean minor tourneys around the world, not the grand slams, knows the negative talk about Tomic doesn't come from the media or people here wanting to see him fail, it comes from his fellow players and coaches and officials on the tour. I like Tomic and want to see him do well. There are a lot of things between the ears and between matches that needed to be sorted out before he becomes Scud MkII, and it seems he is on the way to addressing these things. Good luck to him. I think he does have the ability to get in the top 10 this year.

Certainly not from me... I honestly think this kid is talented, but he his a grade 'A' tosser and 2nd only top mundine to how annoying he is imo... He hasn't done anything and mouths of like he's done it all. He want's to be a champion, act like one or do something relevant to become one!!! I'm sick of people using his age as an excuse for his behaviour... However i'll happily eat my words if he proves me wrong...

He is already a very good player, and I think he will win more than one grand slam.

Yes he had a fair crack. Probably deserved to pinch a set or two.
Unfortunately he has list his zip which was his biggest asset.
His serving now also fails him badly.
