Nathan Sharpe announced that this season will be his last and that he wont play ovetseas but plans to spend more time with his family and with his career in mining.
What a great player the 101 test veteran has been!

In other news my son changed his profile pic on facebook to one taken with him and Adam Ashley-Cooper and my mum had no idea who Adam was. Shame mother shame!

Bit win for the 'Tahs over Samoa Friday night, something like 83-5 but Lachie Turner did a Hamstring.
Overnight, Melbourne did better losing 31-21 to the Blues, Cipriana had a great game for the Rebels.
Reds beat Brubmies in Cairns 27-20.
Unforutunately for the Brumbies Stephen Moore hurt his shoulder and could be out for the start of the season.

And I was hoping the 'Tahs wouldn't have another year with injury like last year's horrific run, its started again, and early. :(

Brumbies have named Ben Mowen as skipper for the new season, bit of a bolt out of the blue considering he is yet to play a game for us

Yep, stress fractures in leg. Meeting a specialist on Wednesday where it will be decided if he can ever play again. Even with good news it is very doubtfull he would take to the field this year

Reds beat the Force 40-10 in a trial in Perth last night. I reckon the Reds are.a.monty against the Tahs next week with the amount of injuries the Tahs have and with the Reds only injury being Quade Cooper who is ably replaced by Mike Harris.
Tahs play Tonga tonight in a trial. Interesting that they havent played a Super 15s side in a trial.

Tahs won 52-0 against Tonga tonight, encouraging as our South African recruit Sarel Pretorius was man of the match.
