Andrew Bogut's presence will make Sydney strong as long as he's there. How long he's there remains to be seen, but I can't see anyone stopping him scoring on offense if NBA defenders struggle to and down the other end he'll make it very, very hard to score anywhere near the paint and will swallow rebounds galore. Whether Sydney play through him exclusively remains to be seen. It might be a fool's paradise if he leaves halfway through the season so they might play their normal sets and make him work to have an influence so when he does return to the US they don't have to change a thing.

Geez basketball's gone further backwards in this country, the 36ers squad looks abysmal.

Basketball will go forward in leaps and bounds this year. Mills will give great exposure and most games covered on free to air. Ahhh if only Bogut could play. Adelaide team has not many big names but it looks a solid unit IMO.

Very good start for the Breakers on the road, particularly with no Kirk Penney this season. GC and NZ play very attacking as a rule, so to fire off 189 points in the first game is an ominous sign early.

Shame about Bogut but it did start to look like it was going pear shaped towards the end there.
