What a fall for Jonny Flynn.

In 2009 he was pick #6 in the NBA, now he's playing in the NBL.

I wouldn't think the NBL is anywhere near the NBA but the standing of the league internationally has probably never been higher.

Supposedly Flynn chose the NBL over China & various other leagues in Europe because he wasn't worried as much about the money but more staying in tip top shape in the hope of getting picked up by an NBA team again during the season.

It isn't. Friday night's game on One is Wollongong @ Sydney. The Sunday arvo game on Ten is Perth @ Adelaide.

Would he be the most credentialed import the NBL has ever had? Played 163 NBA games and picked number 6 in the draft.

Would think Stephen Jackson, Todd Litchti and Acie Earl had better NBA careers than Flynn, even though Jackson was here before NBA. Doubt Flynn would get picked up again unless he destroys the NBL, could be another JoJo English yet.

Did have a reasonable rookie year (all nba rookie 2nd team), was in same draft as Patty Mills. Mills taken late second round and still in the NBA.

Stephen Jackson made it into the NBA after his NBL stint so until Flynn I probably would've said Todd Lichti or maybe even Acie Earl.

Earl had a 40 point game in the NBA before his stint here with the Sydney Kings.

The Hawks Adris DeLeon was named NBL player of the week for Round 5.

The very same Stephen Jackson, he played with Sydney and only lasted around 6 games before he was cut!

I think the reason he got cut was because of the injury but only averaged 6ppg up until that point.

I thought he played 6 games but just checked it was only 4 games in the '98 season.

He's done alright from being axed by an NBL team to making about $60 million in the NBA!

Also good to see former 36ers championship winning coach Ken Cole is finally being inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
