Great game to start the viewing season with !!
Cavs looked certainties early but Celtics just pegged away at them... talent is spread very evenly amongst the Celtics... and with Wallace in there now too they should go far this season.

Bulls beat the Spurs by 7 today! Duncan had a big game for the Spurs but didn't have a lot of support, all round team performance won it for Chicago.. their 3rd quarter was excellent.

LeBron played for the foul on the final shot but superb D, Noah is a gun.

Nathan Jawai not only got some decent minutes today but he actually lead the Timberwolves in scoring! He had 16 pts and 6 rebs on 7-11 shooting. Well done Big Nate.

Two ridiculous dunks from yesterday's games...

Dwayne Wade postered Anderson Varejo.

And Shannon Brown with his elbow above the rim.

Talk that LeBron and Wade might end up at the same team through free agency.

That Dwayne Waade dunk was awesome, he almost lost control of the ball as well, but somehow, managed to keep control of the ball and was able to slam it home right in Anderson's face !!!

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is glad he went public about being treated for a rare form of leukemia because it has given him a chance to reconnect with people.

The NBA's career scoring leader said Sunday that since his recent announcement he has been stopped by people in public who wish him well and encourage him about his condition.

"The response has been really intense," he said. "I didn't expect it to play out this way, but it's been wonderful. I've got people's prayers and their support and they ask what they can do. People just want to connect and it's been beautiful."

Their reaction has taken the 62-year-old six-time NBA MVP by surprise. Abdul-Jabbar was known for being introverted and sullen during his 20-year playing career, often refusing to talk to the media. As a result, he has been a low-profile presence since retiring in 1989 despite his stellar basketball accomplishments at UCLA and in the NBA.

Abdul-Jabbar said he's in good spirits about his future because the chronic myeloid leukemia is in remission. He was diagnosed last December.

LeBron wants all players to surrender 23

Saying he is willing to initiate the movement, LeBron James would like to see any NBA player who wears No. 23 to choose another number as homage to Michael Jordan.

With Jordan looking on from a third-row seat Thursday night, James scored 34 points to help the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Heat 111-104 in Miami. Afterward, the reigning MVP told TNT he plans to switch his number from 23 to 6 after this season.

"I just think what Michael Jordan has done for the game has to be recognized some way soon," said James, who has worn 23 since he was a high school sophomore. "There would be no LeBron James, no Kobe Bryant, no Dwyane Wade if there wasn't Michael Jordan first.

"He can't get the logo [Hall of Famer Jerry West's silhouette adorns the NBA's logo], and if he can't, something has to be done. I feel like no NBA player should wear 23. I'm starting a petition, and I've got to get everyone in the NBA to sign it. Now, if I'm not going to wear No. 23, then nobody else should be able to wear it."

What Im seeing in the NBA

- Mavs regreting rushing Josh Howard back - now gone til the New Year (Mavs were 33-19 with him 17-13 without him last year)
- Lakers getting booed at home, losing 91-101 to Rockets with Brooks career high 33 as Kobe shot 5/20 for 18 points
- Ben Gordon has the shooters thought process - the NEXT one WILL go - as he goes 1/16, while Dirk get 20 points for the fifth straight game as the Mavs win 95-90
- Chris Bosh cant do it all, but hell will he try. He scored 25 for the eigth time in nine games this season, as the Suns continued their streak of scoring 100+ in every game this season in a 101-100 win
- Kevin Durant needs some help. He shot 14/25 for 40 points, while the rest of the Thunder shot 19/60 is a loss to the Kaman (25pts) led Clippers.
