The 36ers have announced they will play an exhibition game against the travelling US college Nicholls State at Adelaide Arena on Saturday the 4th August.

The saga around the Gold Coast Blaze has gotten even bigger now with the team releasing all four of their contracted players from their deals including coach Joey Wright making them free agents!

Boomers Mark Worthington & Adam Gibson along with Anthony Petrie and Chris Goulding are now on the market.

Supposedly the Blaze intend to field a cheap budget team next season.

Supposedly new Tigers coach Chris Anstey will be playing for Victoria in Tuesday nights EJ Whitten Legends game.

Too true, will be weird seeing a 7 foot bloke out there. Pretty sure Anstey was a pretty talented junior tennis player and I think has been playing grade cricket since retiring but no idea if he can play footy.

Unfortunately for the Breakers their hopes of a three-peat next season have taken a hit with Gary Wilkinson leaving the club to take up a contract in Estonia.
