Former Tigers/Wildcats centre Luke Nevill was today released by the Indiana Pacers.

Also in some bad news for the Kings James Harvey has been ruled out for 8-10 weeks with a broken arm he got in Friday night's game against the Taipans.

Looks like Daniel Joyce is going to get another NBL shot he's been brought into the Kings team as replacement for Harvey at least for this weekend. I wonder if Heal will be able to resist force-feeding him minutes?

Also the Breakers Mika Vukona was named NBL player of the week for Round 3.

Confirmed today that Adelaide Arena has been chosen as the venue to host the comeback of the NBL All-Star Game on December 22nd.

The last time Adelaide hosted it was in 2006 when Rashad Tucker got MVP and previous to that was in 1995 when I think Robert Rose was MVP.

Breakers with the comfortable win over the winless Tigers last night and a bit of talk import Kevin Braswell could be on shaky ground.

It seemed like they were rushing too much in the 4th qtr trying to make fancy passes and not clamping down on D, even though Dalyon(not sure on spelling) tore it up in the last 5 minutes.

I was at the game and it was a sweet ally but that ended up being the turning point as there next 5 forward fortes all ended up being fancy ass attempts at million dollar basketball. We went from 7 up late in the third to lose by 14. As pretty as it was it was the point were we got our ambitions and capabilities confused and as for the coach waiting to call the time out until we were 11 down with 1.52 on the clock  Im no BBall expert but i nearly called it when they drained 2 x 3 pointers in a row to take the lead for the first time. Piss poor coaching and our heads dropped literally.
DeLeon was outstanding for them. he is a gun and tore us a new one once our heads dropped and our D dropped off.
Johnson with 5 turnovers in a row for Adelaide spudded it up like a potato farmer :(
A really enjoyable first 3 quarters but you would want to be a red hot keen fan and lover of the game to take your kids and missus at nearly $30 bucks a head for a 40 minute game.
I can think of a couple of more entertaining ways to spend around $150 in an hour ;)

Adelaide's roster is solid and has depth.
The Sixers have genuine size in Schenscher and Johnson and a very capable guard in Gibson.
Surely Marty Clarke must be under pressure to have the team better performances than the loss to Wollongong.

They were really good and honest for 3/4 but i would agree. His use of the time outs was questionable at best. Schenscher seemed a touch under used at times and Gibson looked sharp albeit a little to fancy at times. One point i,ll disagree on is Johnson. He had a shocker. Its the first time i have seen him play live so its unfair to assume i know heaps about the guy but his game yesterday was like watching a turd floating round in a bunch bowl

Yesterday wasn't a regular Johnson game, he is usually a lot better than that. Just a once-off shocker.

I agree the onus is all on Marty Clarke. This 36ers team has championship contender depth and his very poor use of star recruit Luke Schenscher so far is on him.

The 4th quarter collapse against the Breakers was unacceptable (especially as they don't seem to be near as good as they used to be), fell over the line at home against Cairns who were playing their second game in consecutive days and then this game many expcted the 36ers to win at home and were up by 2 at the end of the 3rd only to lose by 14 points. Not acceptable.

Clarke is in the final year of his 3 year contract and he'd want to pick it up quick smart especially with such a loaded roster.
