They must have really pissed Cotton off in the West in the end to do a backflip like this and not go back. Also tells you how much Sydney are paying Davis!

We do need a new stadium anyway
Ent Centre is good but we need a stadium just for basketball
There is a lack of stadiums in the state already for junior and senior basketball
They upgraded Wayville and added a couple of courts but they should have just built a new 10 court stadium somewhere.
They built Mitchell Park as only 2 courts and are only adding 2 potentially 3 courts at Marion.
Being involved at district level here it’s actually an embarrassment the lack of courts and resources we have in this state compared to others.
Basketball is booming at junior levels but the state government funding isn’t supporting it.
I guess Mali isn’t a basketball fan
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Credit to Wells and the recruiting team, they must have sold him one hell of a vision.

They must have confidence in the other signings around him like Harrell and others for Bryce to commit, or Bryce is just after one massive payday before he starts to decline.

We can’t pay him more than Perth did.
Not enough in the cap surely.
Not sure how 3rd party payments happen in the NBL

They have a soft salary cap, you just pay tax once you exceed it

There’s no a cap, the more you pay the more “NBL Tax” you pay

Hearing another huge import signing is in the works.

Wells gets the team he wants after inheriting a team last season

Put a roof on the Adelaide Oval to fit everyone in

Official announcement on Bryce Cotton signing a 3 year deal with the 36ers:

36ers General Manager of Basketball, Matt Weston, said the impact of Cotton's signing would be felt for years to come.

“The opportunity to bring in one of the all-time greats of the NBL is hard to pass up,” Weston said.

“Bryce has a history of winning championships, of personal and team excellence, and he’s going to help us transform our culture and our standards to build a team capable of winning championships.

“We know when he’s up and going, he’s hard to stop and we think our fans will love having him on our side instead of playing against us.”

“Over the last season I’ve really got a handle of the NBL and the players in this league, Matt Weston and I had a really clear vision of how we wanted to reshape this roster and I think we have systematically picked guys we’ve wanted, and that wanted to be here," head coach Mike Wells said.

“We’re really excited about who we’ve been able to bring in so far, but then to be able to bring in a guy like Bryce Cotton, it just takes our reshaping efforts to a new level.

“He brings a unique set of skills and talents to an already talented group, and we’re excited by what the future looks like.”

I still can't believe this has actually happened, there were no rumours or anything.

I think it was at the Utah Jazz, Wells was an assistant coach there when Cotton played for them.
