A few big signings with the NZ Breakers announcing they've brought back former league MVP import Cedric Jackson on a 2-year deal who played last season in Slovenia also the Perth Wildcats have re-signed import Jermaine Beal to a 1-year deal with an option for another year and as well the Wollongong Hawks have re-signed naturalised David Gruber and have announced the Hawks are under new ownership now owned by telecommunications entrepreneur James Spenceley.

The NZ Breakers have announced the signing of Tai Wesley a PF from Guam who can play in the NBL as a local he's been recently playing in the NZ league.

Sydney Kings just announce they've signed their first import in Kendrick Perry a 6'0" guard straight from college at Youngstown State and he just played for the Orlando Magic in the NBA Summer League.

Also forgot to mention Melbourne have lost Chris Goulding who has signed with CAI Zaragoza in Spain where he will be teammates with former NBL MVP Kevin Lisch and David Barlow used to play for them too.

Confirmed today the 36ers have lost Daniel Johnson to Poland, a very big hole to fill and Townsville have announced they've re-signed Greg Vanderjagt.

Yeah not official yet but looks set to be Daequon Montreal a 6'8" PF from the SEABL league. Not overly thrilled with the decision.

Officially announced former 36er import Gary Ervin will be returning to Wollongong where he won the league MVP award in 2010.

Early mock drafts for 2016 are putting Thon Maker, a 7'1 centre and Ben Simmons, 6'10 forward as #1 and #2 picks. With Exum having just gone 5 as a guard, could those guys for the core of a genuine threat to the US? The talk of what Maker could be is incredible. Just a shame Irving picked the US.

The Boomers played their first World Cup warm up game in a tournament in Lithuania last night with an entertaining come from behind win against Finland thanks to some clutch threes from Joe Ingles late.

Australia 100 (Motum 17, Newley 15) def Finland 95

Tonight the Boomers play Ukraine and then Lithuania on early Tuesday morning.

A couple of pre-season results against the touring college team Eastern Kentucky, on Friday night the Sydney Kings beat them 76-65 with Angus Brandt recording 20 pts & 18 reb and Josh Duinker and Kevin White each scoring 15 and then last night the Wollongong Hawks defeated them 106-99 in OT Tim Coenraad had 32 pts & 10 reb and Oscar Forman scored 18, Tyson Demos 18 and Brad Hill 17.
