A good, free flowing game where defence went out the window to a fair degree, but good to see the Kings hit their straps in the last three weeks. That said, Adelaide just seem to struggle with their midlevel players at times. Great to see Daly and Creek play significant minutes and have a sound impact. Ballinger was solid as always, but some of the mid tier just don't seem to hurt the opposition enough on the turnover. Too much space and room allowed for the Kings to breakaway, and didn't have real combat for Khazzouh.

I said yesterday about giving the MVP to Ervin, but completely neglected the massive impact Khazzouh has had for Sydney this year. I'm nearly certain the award has never been won by a player from the bottom team, but a real chance this time.

The other slightly disappointing part of the game - we didn't get to see one of the best head-to-head battles: that of two of the best cheerleading squads in the NBL :)

Agreed it was a good game and realistically it was going to be disappointing for whoever had to lose. On the whole MVP front I remember Brian Wethers won the MVP award on a sub .500 Hunter Pirates team a few years back. Julian Khazzouh would have to figure up there despite the Kings poor record I think.

I had some money on either team under 5.5 points last night, but once we got into some early foul trouble in the 4th that was the end of that.

I'm normally a fan of Rhys Carter but he struggled at both ends of the floor tonight I thought, not sure what his turnover count was but I think it would've been more than anyone else on the court. Hill was non-existent after the first two minutes. Howard didn't do enough. But on the upside, Daly really looks the goods, as does Creek, and Bruce looks like he's getting back into the swing of it, thought he was good too, and should start the next game if Shannon doesn't play. Won't be enough to see us get anywhere near the playoffs this year though.

Howard's impact gets exaggerated by his points at times, but his foul shooting is abominable, defensively slow and makes some horror turnovers. Really not that excited about the prospect of him being here in the next season.

Have to agree CK. I have no idea how this guy came close to making an NBA roster (twice) but can see why his last team in Israel cut him only after a few games. I don't think there is much chance the Sixers would be interested in re-signing him. Hopefully next season they lock up Ballinger & Schenscher and then put a team around them first and if it means no imports so be it.

Great win to the tigers tonight as much as I hate to admit it. But if the Tigers hire DMac as their head coach it might make this tiger hater become a tigers supporter. I have not gone for a Victorian team since The North Melbourne Giants.

Absolute shellacking, with the shackles right off the Tigers. I wonder, though, whether it says more about the Hawks or the Tigers - the former have now lost NINE straight after starting 9-2.

Had to laugh at D-Mac in the huddle in the last quarter, telling players to leave his magnets alone :D

Same here I laughed with that. The players really seemed relaxed and played some of the best basketball I have seen this season. I feel he is the Man for the Tigers and it will help get people who went for the Giants, Magic, Titans, Giants, Dragons get back into Basketball.

On the 36ers game Sunday, Mark Worthington is now out with a broken wrist and could be out for the rest of the season and the Blaze have signed Luke Kendall as a short-term injury replacement.

More developments ahead of tomorrow's 36ers game, Ater Majok has signed with the Blaze after his short-term contract with the Wildcats came to an end today after Jesse Wagstaff's return from injury last night.

Will make it all the harder for Adelaide tonight. Suspecting a high scoring shootout that Adelaide will get blown away in after a tight first half.

Gold Coast 62
Adelaide 42

5.57 remaining in the 3rd term.

Just painful to watch Adelaide's near total lack of defence in the first half. The Blaze must have thought it was Christmas, being able to stroll through the key as they pleased and slam down some big dunks.
