Can smell a defensive lockdown, as the Sixers try to contain the number of scoring options for the Wildcats.

Huge game winning three by Ballinger there with about four seconds to go.

Unfortunately for the Wildcats Shawn Redhage got a dislocated hip and will be out for the rest of the season.

I headed down to the stadium formerly known as the Clipsal Powerhouse for the first time in near 10 years and was very happy i did - a great snatch n grab effort from the 36ers! 10 points down with about 3 minutes to go, and Ballinger's 3 with 4 seconds to go was huge. 36ers very reliant on Ballinger, i reckon he scored 12 points in a row for us in the 3rd quarter, and seems to have to do the bulk of the rebounding and defensive keywork as well!

Wildcats had an african looking fellow who looked about 7'5" (think Manute Bol from 90s NBA ) and thankfully for us he was only used sparingly by Perth, he must have had 4 or 5 massive blocks and scored a few when he was on!

His name is Ater Majok, he is a Sudanese-born Australian and yeah, he certainly can play defensively can't he...

Brett Maher mentioned during OneHD's commentary that he (Majok) reminded him of a young Hakeem Olajuwon, particularly with those blocked shots.

Ballinger is their best player by a country mile. Seems when he's not on the sixers don't get close.

It was. Not sure why - One was only showing some doco while 10 had it live. One had a replay last night of the game.

Don't worry you didn't miss much.

That was a shocking game yesterday. In other news:

The National Basketball League has made some further adjustments to both its iiNet NBL Championship game schedule and its broadcast schedule on ONE HD, Basketball Australia has advised.

In Round 23, the Townsville Crocodiles’ home game against the Perth Wildcats has been moved forward from the originally scheduled Saturday 19 March to the new date and time of Friday 18 March at 7:00PM local Queensland time.

The Crocs-Wildcats game will also now replace the previously scheduled Adelaide 36ers-Melbourne Tigers game as the ONE HD live broadcast match on Friday 18 March.

In Round 25, the ‘Reptile Rumble’ between the Cairns Taipans and the visiting Townsville Crocodiles on Friday 1 April has been moved forward half-an-hour to the new tip-off time of 7:00PM (local).

The move allows the Taipans-Crocs match to become the ONE HD live broadcast game on 1 April, replacing the previously scheduled Sydney Kings-Gold Coast Blaze match.

Reports filtering out of Perth that Ater Majok's career with the Wildcats is in jeopardy, after being ordered away from training this morning for failing to turn up to a scheduled weights session prior to training.

Supposedly been a couple of reports of him turning up to training late too.
