Saw some of the Adelaide game today, we're pretty weak in terms of big men (like many sides in the comp actually) but Shannon and Howard look like they could be more than handy. Shannon really has something about him and Howard seems to not have that need to be "the man" that DeVries had. Seems happy to run screens, stretch the defense out but also can hit a show or take the ball when it's his turn. A good core of players developing, just need a bit more from the big guys, or another big and we'll start to give those top teams a shake.

I was at the game on sunday and it was gd to see Johnson and Creek get a gd run they were the ones who got the team going at the start of the last qtr. Johnson is gonna be a very gd big man for us in a couple of years and Creek is an excitment machine when he gets going hopefully they both stick around coz they have very bright futures... The only thing that was puzzling to me was seeing Ballinger sit on the bench for so long he scores 8 in the first then hardly plays at all in the 2nd and 3rd then tears it up in the last...

They certainly did do well when needed, and you are right about them being good prospects. But in this league you can't be sure you can hang onto your kids. Too often they go elsewhere for money, opportunities etc. Which is a real shame and weakness of the league's structure. But another big just to play a role would make a difference. Like a Paul Rees type.

As for Ballinger, I can only think the coach was happy with what the 5 on court were doing, or he was being cautious with Ballinger. I know he's had back troubles before so maybe he likes to limit his minutes when he can.

Suspect a real shootout that the Sixers won't be able to combat. Would not be at all surprised if the Breakers top 100 in this one.

Adelaide scored their first basket for the second quarter at the 5.00 minute mark - Jacob Holmes, no less :? . Just beyond bad at the moment, nothing changes my view from the last time these two teams met.

Hope not - that will blow my tips for the week :? (am in the top 350 nationwide, so taking the Hawks a slight risk, but thought it would come off)

Ben Madgen supreme for the Kings; 19 points, 12 rebounds, one block, but topped by Julian Khazzouh with 11 points, 15 rebounds and an assist (five turnovers slightly blotting things)

No real surprise. Wollongong barely have any players left. Did their team manager suit up again tonight?
