Miami lose 98-91 to Portland, their 12th in a row.
Just a matter of time as to when Riley jumps ship.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Was said by Charles Barkley a few weeks back that Portland's Branon Roy should make the All Star game and I do agree with him but given Portland's amazing performance this year, feel that an argument could be made for Roy being the MVP of the league to this point and remember that the MVP is for players that get their team to win, not neccessarily the ones that post the gaudiest stats.

19ppg, 4.5rpg and 5.7apg are pretty big numbers for a guy in just his second year. Has been the go to man in clutch situations many times this season. He's also played a big part in turning around the jailblazers image.

I'm a huge fan of Roy. All-Star perhaps. MVP not yet.

What Im seeing in the NBA

- That every dog has his day - Currently starting in the starting line up for the best team in the NBA - Brian Scalabrene. His last game vs the Mavs he played 17minues for 0/0FG, 0/0FT, 0reb, 2 ass, 1 block, 0 steals and 3 fouls
- Some of the NBA's stars showing why they are at the top of the pile
Tim Duncan, leading the Spurs, without Parker and Barry to a win at Phoenix (16pts, 17 reb, 7 ass, 2 blocks) and hits the go ahead basket in the final minute
- Kobe with a triple double (not one though that he will want to tlak about much) 30pts, 10 reb, 11 TURNOVERS

Pau Gasol traded to the Lakers.

Like what Phil's building there - big and deep.

Only a piece or two missing from the championship puzzle...

Think that if Houston can't do anything in the playoffs this year that McGrady probably has to go while he still has trade value.
Think that he's a great player but only Ming or him have big time trade value and it's easier to get athletic swingmen that what it is to get big and talented low post players.

Playoffs getting close now, but the closeness of the west is keeping the interest up for the end of the season
WEST (current)
1. New Orleans
2. LA Lakers 1.5 Games Behind
3. San Antonio 2 GB
4. Utah 3.5 GB (seeded 4th as NW divisional winner)
5. Houston 2 GB
6. Phoenix 2.5 GB
7. Dallas 5.5 GB
8. Denver 7.5GB

9. Golden State 8.5GB (cost themselves lately 4-6 in last 10)

Amazing to have such closeness
The strength of the west is shown by the record of Golden State (47-32) This would be good enough for 4th best in the East.

Houston 101-90 Phoenix

WEST Seedings
1. New Orleans 55-24
2. Lakers 55-25 0.5 GB
3. San Antonio 54-25 1 GB
4. Utah 52-27 3 GB
5. Houston 54-25 1 GB
6. Phoenix 53-27 2.5 GB
