Just outclassed by a better team on the night. Couldn't really fault the endeavour but it still doesn't look a team really playing with desperation or passion.

The Crocs/Kings game on TV tonight was a cracker with Townsville getting up in double OT!

As it turns out tonight's game was Ayinde Ubaka's last game for the Tigers, CEO Seamus McPeake walked into the locker room after the game blasted the players and fired Ubaka on the spot:

Staggering stuff. Ubaka has not been quite the same player at Melbourne as he was at Cairns, but still an amazing turn of events from an owner that dominates a club far, far too much than is healthy.

Supposedly Patty Mills is back in the US hoping to get an NBA gig but is still waiting for the Chinese league to give him clearance otherwise he can't play anywhere until March.

There has been a little bit of talk that if given clearance and then unable to get an NBA spot he might come back here and finish the season with the Tigers.

The Melbourne Tigers have signed a new import in Myron Allen a PG who has been playing in China, ironically from the same team Patty Mills was playing with over there the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.

Also the Crocs have signed former 36er Jacob Holmes to a two-year contract extension.

The Gong need something to make them even 1/4 entertaining to watch. This week's Cairns v Wollongong game could be the first in NBL history to go under 125 points. Since Ervin left the Hawks, they play one of the dullest game styles imaginable.

Agreed dreadful team to watch. Not sure if you missed Friday night's game on One between the Hawks/Taipans but both teams combined scored a grand total of 120 points. Glover played like six minutes and had three turnovers and supposedly the guy reckons he's going to be in the NBA next season!
