People are going nuts about that Chris Goulding flop and rightfully so. The Breakers were the better team and were missing two of their better players in Wesley and Vukona.

Will he miss any games he wouldn't have missed with injury anyway?

Doesn't seem like it he's expected to be out injured at least another two games and funnily enough the suspension is effective immediately.

The thing I cannot understand is that he currently not on the Sydney roster as he has been replaced by Harrington so how can the suspension start now?

Too true.

BAD news for the Sydney Kings. Star import Josh Childress has been suspended by the NBL and won't be able to play against Adelaide tomorrow.

In another startling turn of events, Drake U'u won't be playing for Perth this weekend either because, just like Childress, he isn't actually on their team at present.

It charged Childress for his childish and churlish stomp after the umpires in the wake of Sydney's self-inflicted loss to the 36ers in Adelaide and, to his credit, he took the guilty plea for his profane verbal assault.

The only part I do not understand - help me with this please, if you can - is how the NBL can suspend Childress for two games while he is not on Sydney's active roster!

The suspension being "effective immediately" means he misses the game against Adelaide and next week's match against New Zealand. Um, unless I'm mistaken, isn't he already missing those games with a hand injury?

Does this even mean he cannot sit on the Kings' bench?

All I know is this does appear to set a precedent which suggests Tyson Demos, Luke Schenscher, Damian Martin and anyone else currently injured should seize the opportunity NOW, while out injured, to get reported and suspended.

Not really any surprise that Melbourne United's Chris Goulding and Dean Demopoulos have been named player of the month and coach of the month for October.

The Sydney Kings have signed Joe Connelly a former assistant coach in the NBA to their coaching staff as a specialist assistant coach. Connelly spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Washington Wizards and is expected to be on the bench for the Kings next game against the NZ Breakers on Thursday.

Didn't play our best but still a good solid 24 point win. Around 6000 people there so it's starting to get the crowds back. Buy one get one free helps. Took a family of 4, great seats $60.

Haven't checked this year but it is normally in the entertainment book. I agree if I go the most I ever fork out is the 2 for 1 price which makes it a reasonably cheap night out. Having said that we don't drink at 36ers games so a night at the BBall never blows out like a day on the village green.

How was Murray Magpies form last night. As mascots go I think he (she - girl inside I am told) does as good a job as any you see around. Really supportive, interactive and entertaining without ever crossing the fine line between funny mascot to please F@ck off weirdo.
