One player last night had a bunch of teeth knocked out, not sure if anyone saw that but teeth went flying everywhere.

I was also trying to work out why Sydney were deliberately fouling at the end of the game when they were 10 pts down, no chance of winning yet they sent Wollongong to the line a number of times, wasn't good for a few inplay under bets I had on. It was as if the Sydney plays thought they had to foul at the end of the game because that is just what happens in basketball.

The 36ers game in Wollongong will be on One HD 7:30 Friday night and new import signing Eddie Shannon has been cleared to play but it looks like Mitchell Creek will be out injured.

1/4 Time Scores:

Wollongong - 24

Adelaide - 16

For mine, too many turnovers from the Sixers, can't seem to get any fluency happening in the offensive end...

1/2 Time:

Wollongong - 39

Adelaide - 36

Didn't see any of the 2nd quarter, was eating my dinner but the Sixers obviously played some better ball...

According to Andrew Gaze on the telecast, Eddie Shannon is MVP material, after one game :? . Shannon did have some good moments for a first outing, and shows a fair bit of grunt and hustle, but honestly....

The game itself summed up the Sixers' season perfectly so far. Can go with teams for long periods but when the crunch is on, lack the killer instinct and still far, far too reliant on Ballinger to bring us home.

Interesting that the shot clock at Adelaide's end of the court was 'malfunctioning' in the first half (meaning the 36ers had to rely on the court announcer for their shot clock) and was magically fixed for the second half when Wollongong were heading that way

The shot clock is becoming a real issue in the NBL this season, on a couple of levels. Firstly, One HD's coverage of the games are overall, pretty good, but this insistence on waiting until the last ten seconds before showing the shot clock is becoming a pest.

Secondly, yes, some courts seem to have real trouble with getting it to work properly for the full 40 minutes of a game. A game was held up for about five minutes the other night, as a number of people tried to reset a shot clock. It's hardly a new device, so not sure why it suddenly seems so hard :?

DeVries basically cost us the game down the stretch.

Agreed. Too many unnecessary 3 point attempts at the end was fatal, even after Wollongong gifted us that unsportmanslike foul (and we blew that as well).

The worst past is that it's not even in sync with the official clock - sometimes it can be as far as 4 seconds out. That's the most irritating part!

I feel sorry for the European competition that now has to put up with him. The club that's recruited him though gets all they deserve.
