NBA

Boston v Denver game just started. And it struck me, with Garnett, Davis, Perkins and Shaq (JO may or may not be part of the equation) they probably did have one big too many. Especially with Pierce a forward too. So maybe not such a bad move after all.

We tried to organise a few trades but everyone wanted either Asik or Gibson, glad we didn't give them up as they are both awesome off the bench and give us much needed size. Especially when the playoffs roll around.

Bosh's 1/18 is the first in 25 years I think.

Surely once he got to 1/9 he must have figured he wasn't shooting so well, so try a few drives get to the line (5/6 from the line) or try a few post moves. Either that or get the ball to someone else!

Asik was good, Gibson didn't have his best night but he certainly has an upside. Certainly one of the more even starting lineups going around. What makes it work though is having Noah just playing his own little game, doesn't need anything set for him. Having a guy who can make his own plays without the ball is rare, but can be massive.

U'll probably find because the boston trade was yesterday, Jeff Green hasn't even arrived yet let alone be ready for a game with his new team, where as Denver have had there trade done for a couple days, allowing the players to fly in join there team and suit up.

I think they are still officially Celtic players until something is ratified. Might be a cooling off period or something. Denver played a game without their trades already.

They had to sign a guy at late notice for a week to cover for a game or two until the trade goes through, probably an issue with that guy on the site.

Lol. That is pretty good. I reckon he did cop one, no doubt it would have stung a bit too, but he went down like he was auditioning for WWE or something.

What shows up though it how much bigger Boozer looks compared to Bosh. 7 game series that is the area Chicago will probably look to exploit big time. If Rose can more or less break even with Wade and James, or even if he just keeps them occupied enough, Boozer V Bosh should be a Chicago win and Noah, Gibson, Asik et al look a ton better than the Miami support cast.

My prediction though, should these two sides meet in a finals or semi finals series (either looks very likely) is James guarding Boozer at some stages. James is actually the more ideal matchup. Boozer is only an average jumper shooter and James can pressure a jump shot as well as Bosh, but James is actually the more likely to stop Boozer backing right in strangely enough.

I was half expecting the Knicks to be really inconsistent for the rest of the season, but not THAT inconsistent! On their day they might match it with the best teams, but losing the the Cavs is pretty unforgivable.

After losing to the Cavs, Knicks beat the Heat. I really can see them being Jekyll and Hyde the rest of the season.
