I'm susprised at the Celtics trading Perkins. They seemed to be sweating on him coming back for a while. Guess they're happy to play Shaq at centre, but they don't seem to think Jermaine will return to day in day out duties, more like 10 minutes a week when he does return. Given his age, these injuries might see the end of JO.

Anyone else expect Lebron to be in anything less than full eff you mode today?

This surprised me. LeBron made Mo an all star not the other way around. I honestly think Williams had peaked then. The cavs say there doing it for the lottery pick, but any one who knows this draft knows there is nothing exciting about it, infact in what I read the Clippers are stoked they can get Mo williams and off load a baron contract and that draft pick.

Time to build around Blake i get that but Dont think Williams will get them there. I also have a hunch Baron will retire rather then finish his career with one of the worst teams in NBA history. Add to that he doesn't get along with Byron Scott and he only just started to look interested because he had Blake to lob the ball to.

Not sure its the best move for the Blakers but time will tell

The Blakers also get cap space in 2012 to go after Deron, Chris Paul and Dwight, but I'm not sure that will get them anywhere if Donald Sterling is still the owner.

I would bloody hope so... I just put a bet on him to get more points & assists the D.Rose. Hope the defense shuts Rose down.

Miami to win by 8 today. Denver to get over Boston by about 9 with all Denver's new players, and the fact that Celts have 0 Centers available for this game. Boston should win yes, but im tipping an upset!

Green will blossom when Pierce/Allen/Garentt move on. He is a legit 20pt+ per game player and just wasn't getting enough shots with Westbrook & Durant. Long term move for the Celts good there. Although they have thrown the title away if they don't get O'Neals back for the playoffs. You can't win a ring with Kristic inside.

Yep, definitely expect Rose to match it with effort. Important step for him in how he goes about it and how he executes. Apparently he's holding a grudge against all them boys too.

Mo Williams is a hack simple as that.

Nothing trade by the Clips IMO.

Rose should get more assists most of the time. Especially if he's not scoring points, so I don't like your chances there.

I expect Miami to win, 5-8 points or something before the Bulls start playing the free throw game.

I Dont think Denver are a threat with the trade. D.Harris is not good player and Favors needs alot of work. Think Boston will dismantle them. As i write if that reverse dunk by LeBron is anything to go by then he could be in for a statement maker ! cant tell me the MVP means nothing to him

Someone must have told LeBron the dunk contest was on tonight. Miami causing some massive headaches getting out in the open. Chicago still with them now, but you can't compete with a side just doing layup and dunk drills at one end.

First up agree that Boston will make Denver pine for Chauncey and Carmelo back.

But any time you're considered the best in the league you've got some pride on the line. It's not like LeBron is past it either, he's still at an age where he should be improving, but a challenger for the title of MVP in the league surely has to give a little extra motivation.

Boozer is the one, IMHO, that will do the damage if Chicago win. He is a scary good player.

Chicago living off Noah's second chance tips and dunks a bit here. Always hard to keep a guy off the boards all the time when that's all he's looking for, but again it's not something that you can expect to keep getting all game.

Worry for Chicago is they aren't scoring much from their sets while Miami are scoring on almost all their sets seemingly.

A lot of fast break points for Miami as well, they are running hard. Still very early though, anything can happen in the NBA.

Noah is such a beast on the boards, so glad the man is back.
