Can understand what people are saying re Oden and Durant because I believe initially Durant will be the better player and even at his youthful age will average 20 points and 6 rebounds as a rookie (that's assuming that either Lewis or Allen isn't there next year). As a rookie, I can see Oden averaging about 12 points, 12 rebounds and about 3 blocks a game and for the first few seasons of his career, he will be a defensive force that will evolve over time on the offensive end. As I've said before, don't judge Oden on his college stats as Ewing, Olajuwon and Michael Jordan weren't massive scorers in college either due to the more structured team concepts.
Of course, Kwame Brown came directly to the NBA from high school (like current phenom Dwight Howard) and it's fair to say that it was mainly Jordan at the Wizards that wanted Brown and it was Jordan that played a fair part in ruining Brown's career. A classic case of someone that should have gone to college.

Huh? Whose the best 2 teams then?

Cavs equal the series in the East now 2-2

I would have said that the best three teams in the west(dallas, pheonix and spurs) were all more solid then the pistons throughout the year...

The west was by far the strongest conference and it seems with the current system that poorer east teams are a bigger chance of making the final game as opposed to middle of the road west teams....

If the Pistons were in the western conference, I don't think they would be in the conference finals... I just dont like the system that is all...

OK...see where you are coming from now...tend to agree....why is it though?...they say East have the more Stars while West have the best teams

In a NBA forum Im on in the States they rate Spurs, Mavs, Suns and Jazz all before any East team....I think Chicago though might be the team to watch in coming years

Spurs seem to have that right combo ... The Dominant big man(TD), the hard working and lethal swingman (Manu), several role players (Parker, Bowen etc) and depth (Finley, Horry & co.) ... Amongst all of that they have playoff hardened personnel.

Apparently Portland have been asking the question of Atlanta about the possiblility of acquiring their third pick so that they can use it on Mike Conley Jr and reunite him with his college teammate Greg Oden. It seems that Portland is unwilling to let go of Brandon Roy or LaMarcus Aldridge - in other words it won't happen.
Agree with CP's comment about the Spurs as well as they are a true team, Ginobilli and Parker would both be big time scorers if they played elsewhere.

NFL has same problem .... contrived conference systems don't always allow the best 2 teams to play the final .... they seem very attached to their conferences system over there

Few years back there were teams in the AFC with better winning records by 3 games that missed the play-offs because the quotas from each conference meant that a certain number of NFC teams made it .... don't like it myself. There will never be a Dallas-SF superbowl.
In between signatures .....

King LeBron - what an effort, to score 25 Cavs points in a row over the forth quarter and OT (29 of the Cavs last 30 points) as they beat the Pistons in Double OT at the Palace to take a 3-2 lead. The performance is being talked about as on the the best handful of playoff performances and to do what he did - and in the place and situation - you have to agree..

Downloading the game now ... can't wait to see it, especially the last 30 points, which he got 29 of!

Well done to the Cavaliers as I thought they'd be one year away at least from the Finals. A great effort because even with LeBron they've come a long way in 4 years.

I am starting to think the cavs might be able to do it now... I didn't think they were even going to make the finals 3 days ago... then when you take into account the seasons record (2-0 cavs way) you really start to wonder, especially with the momentum that the cavs have....

as much as Id love to see someone different win I really admire the way the Spurs play a true team game....unfortuantely I dont think the Cavs have a "true team game" and are the 4th maybe 5ht best team in the league
