I'd be happy with a solid performance in the second round of the playoffs this season, we MUST win the first round but who knows from there. Our defence is probably the best in the NBA thanks to Thibs which should hold us in good stead in the playoffs.

Big day today, Miami @ Orlando and Spurs @ Lakers.

Surely you jest.

Maybe equal with a few others but who is better? Dallas play good D as do the Hornets but we are keeping things tight without one of the best defenders in the NBA - Noah.

Boston
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..

Boston, Miami and San Antonio are all better. Chicago are probably on the next rung with sides like the Lakers and Milwaukee.

LeBron shows the comp who really is the best player going around. 51 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Shot 17/25 inc 3/5 3pt attempts with a block and a steal mixed in. Plus only 3 turnovers, which is pretty good for a guy who had the ball in his hands so much.

Only 11 field goals scored by Miami weren't scored or assisted by him. And you'd imagine several of the rest had his fingerprints on them as well.

Spurs win on a McDyess tip with .1 of a second left in the game.

Keeps their very remote chances of 70 wins alive and keeps the Lakers in the pack in the West. San Antonio be very hard to peg back from there, 7.5 games ahead of both the Mavs and Lakers. something is not quite right at LA right now.

Forgot about Boston in the D chat above, their D is excellent. Chicago's defence stacks up better than San Antonio's I think.

Excellent finish to that game, had to go to a review because of goal tending but it was a good tip by McDyess. Lakers will be kicking themselves for allowing 4 shots at the end there. Great game though.

Lebron is a freak, definitely the best player in the NBA. He had a triple double in the big Xmas Day game then knocks down 51 today. His his first 11 shots. Orlando shouldn't have pissed him off before the season began.

Absolutely. Coaches do their nut on any second chance opportunities but that many on the last play is criminal in that comp. Especially when the Lakers have so many strong rebounders.

Watched the replay on OneHD this morning of the Orlando v Miami game from yesterday...

LeBron was awesome, especially in that 1st quarter, I think he scored 16 points in a row for the Heat and ends up with almost half his sides final score !!!

Miami 104

Orlando 100

And there goes your credibility. That stat tells so little about the whole story. What about how many possessions the opposition gets? Stands to reason if a side takes more shots than another that the opposition will also, meaning the raw points conceded stat goes up. Also you need to factor things like opposition, junk time and a bunch of other things.

The real story of a good defense is how much harder they make it for the opposition when a game's alive. In other words, would you rather try to score against the bulls, or a side like San Antonio, Boston or Miami when you REALLY needed to win? I certainly would.

No matter how well that lad plays he will always be remembered for getting posterized by Griffin.

Also Chicago may play in a pretty average div but our record against the West is very good and that is supposed to be the strongest Conference.

Pretty Average...thats one hell of an understatement (I guess it was slightly warm on Monday  )

Yes Bulls have a good record v West (14-5)...not quite 27-5 though is it..plus I think you are WAY ahead of yourself...Take out the 11-0 v Central (who even the TWolves are 4-1 against) then the Bulls are 9-9 vs the rest if the East

You boys in the Bulls fan club (aka nearly everyone who posts on this thread) need to have a good hard look at who you have beaten and stop thinking about JUNE

Yep ok....so beating LA, Dallas, Boston, Orlando, Miami, Denver, Oklahoma and the rest at the top is overlooked. give me a break.

P.s. they have lostr more games to teams with lsoing records so not sure what ur on about
.

Once again the Bulls fan club speak without thinking/knowing
Bulls are 10-9 v teams above .500 (19 games compare that to the Spurs 26 games with a 19-7 record)
Bulls are 24-5 v teams below .500

Not sure why you are hating on the Bulls so much brod but it is pretty funny. Chicago are a very good team and own one of the best records in the league, nobody is suggesting they are the best team in the NBA. Keeping hating though brother.

Not 'hating on the Bulls" bro, just pointing out some of the inaccuracies in the propaganda behing spewed by the Bulls Fan Club on here.

Ill give the bulls their credit, they have a played well this year, and yes without a very good defender, BUT they do NOT have the best D in the league, with or without Noah, Rose is NOT an MVP candidate, and their record is padded by playing more games against teams in their division, as shown by their .500 record against other teams in the East and against plus .500 teams

How can you say Rose is not an MVP candidate?? I'm not saying he should win it but he is definitely in the running for the award.

Im with you Brod. I think we are all biased towards the team we follow. But saying the bulls are the best Defensive side in the league is a HUGE call. And Rose can play the game and has the ability to win an MVP at some stage in his career but is that far off the level of the leagues out and out superstars.

Perfect illustration. Up against reasonable, but nevertheless a sub 500 side, down by 1 at 3/4 time and Chicago lets them drop more points in the last than in any other quarter. Top defensive sides don't let that sort of thing happen.

Feel free to talk the bulls up as top 4 in their conference, call them good offensively and reasonable defensively by all means. But don't try to tell me they are the best defensive team in the comp, because they simply aren't.
